Half-day tour

I pick you up from your hotel, or wherever is most comfortable for you, and we head straight to the City Park, this is where our tour starts. City Park has many sightseeing opportunities including the glorious Vajdahunyad Castle, Széchenyi bath (the largest thermal bath in the capital), the Zoo and an outdoor Ice skating rink. We then head to Heros Square, where I will give you a short lesson regarding the most important figures in Hungarian history.

Along the famous Andrássy Avenue, we can find the beautiful Neo-renaissance mansions and townhouses featuring fine facades. Homes on this street have been featured on televisions shows such as House Hunters International. it is also one of Budapests main shopping streets with fine cafes, restaurants, theaters and luxury boutiques.

We have a look inside St. Stephen Basilica, where the most important reliquary, the "Holy Right Hand", the mummified hand of St Stephen is placed. We then walk around the gorgeous Hungarian Parliament and Liberty Square to discover the stories behind every statue of it. 

We continue our trip up to the Royal Castle District Crossing the famous Chain Bridge. We visit the charming Royal Castle, Matthias Church with its beautiful frescos and the Fisherman's Bastion. After wandering around in this beautiful historical area, we enjoy the panoramic view for the capital...





Full-day tour

Then we visit a part of the Jewish heritage, the great Syngogue, which is the biggest synagogue in Europe. We then discover the taste of Hungary in the Central Markeet Hall where you can find a large selection of Hungarian products, like wines, handicrafts, clothing, many kind of food products.

Time to rest and refresh! We take a lunch break.

We continue our trip to the Royal Castle District crossing the famous Chain Bridge. We visit the charming Royal Castle with its magical history atmosphere, Matthias Church with its beautiful frescos, and the Fisherman's Bastion. Then we enjoy the best panorama in Budapest from the top of Gellért Hill. We pass by Citadella, the unique Pauline Cave Chapel and the famous art-noveau Gellért Spa.

The beauty of the city at night is not hidden.... moreover! According to many it is the best.
It is worth visiting the capital for the scenary at night. We can make a round tour of the best parts of Budapest by car, minibus or bus- depending on the number of the participants!
There is also a possibility of a walking tour, allowing more interaction with the night life of the city.
The tour is specially for you so it can be altered to your needs.













Jewish Heritage Tour of Budapest


Visit the Historic Jewish Quarter, one of the oldest and most popular parts of Budapest!
This living quarter is uniquely characterized by the culture of the Jewish community (the largest Jewish community in East-Central Europe), that settled down here centuries ago.
The third largest synagogue in the world (the second largest one in Europe), the Jewish Museum and Archives with a rich collection and the most important Jewish religious and cultural institutions are located here.
The quarter has been on the list of the UNESCO World Heritage since 2002.

NOTICE: ON FRIDAYS AND SATURDAYS WE ARE NOT ABLE TO VISIT THE SYNAGOGUES INSIDE BECOUSE OF THE "SABBATH"!

Our journey is going to start from the meeting point (where is the most comfortable for you, for example your hotel), than we head straight to the Great Synagogue in Dohány Street, the symbol of the Jews of Budapest.

Then we are going to visit the Holocaust Museum, contains an amazing history both in it's unique collection of Jewish artifacts, and in the story that exists behind the museum and property itself.

On our tour we are going to discover the must see sights of the Jewish quarter such as:

-Great Synagogue in Dohány Street (the second greatest Synagogue)
-Holocaust Museum
-The Cemetery of Heroes
-The Temple of Heroes
-Raoul Wallenberg Memorial Garden and the Monument of the Hungarian Jewish Martyrs

 Our tour is going to start from your hotel (or wherever is the most comfortable for you).

On the tour we will/can visit:

The historical GREAT MARKET HALL, definitely one of the best places to get a glance into the local shopping costumes, try some local specialities such as langos (a deep fried flatbread) and discover several local products.

Then we can have a pleasent walk, have some interesting stories and informations about Hungary visiting the must see sights around.

We can have a lunch in a traditional hungarian restaurant.

Excursions to the countryside

Szentendre - The Artists' Village



Szentendre is a small baroque Mediterranean feel town, located at the gate of the famous Danube Bend, in a truly wonderful region.
The beauty of the nature and the lively colorful mosaic-like blocks of houses have attracted many artists throughout the years. Szentendre became the cultural center of Pest County, dozens of museums were opened in the city center from the works of artists connected to the village.

The region was Roman settlement. In the 18th century Serbs settled down here escaping from the Turkish invasion. Becouse of the Serb, Greek and Dalmatian influance Szentendre has such a wonderful historic Mediterranean atmosphere.

This tour provide us a great opportunity to:
- discover the countryside without long traveling (30 min. ride from Budapest)
- spend a calm day in unique atmosphere
- explore interesting art galleries and museums such as the unmissable Micro Art Wonder Museum - with the tiniest artworks
- walk in beautiful places

Itinerary:
 I pick You up at your hotel (or wherever is the most convenient for You). Then we have a short ride enjoying the beautiful scenery till we reach the picturesque Artists' Village.

We start our tour with the visit of the oldest and one of the most important architectural monuments in Szentendre, the 800 years-old ST. JOHN THE BAPTIST PARISH CHURCH on CHURCH HILL. From the top we can get a full panorama of the town centre.

We explore some of the must-see places such as:

- The MICRO WONDER MUSEUM - a grand collection of miniature art so tiny you can only see it through the lens of a microscope!

- SZAMOS MARZIPAN MUSEUM: where everything made of Marzipan. There is an opportunity to taste the unique Szamos Marzipan and for shopping, as well.

- KOVÁCS MARGIT CERAMIC MUSEUM - with beautiful collection

We can take a pleasent walk along the revamped DANUBE PROMENADE and have some refreshment in one of the nice cafes or have lunch and taste the local dishes in one of restaurants on the bank of the river.

 

 Danube Bend Excursion - Esztergom, Visegrád, Szentendre 
 Wonderful historic journey in one of the most beautiful parts of Hungary!


This tour provides a pleasent ride in the beautiful region of the picturesque Danube Bend exploring some of the oldest settlements in Hungary which played very important role in the Hungarian history:

- ESZTERGOM - the former capital city, the seat of the Hungarian Catholic Church
The history of the town accumulates the history of the whole country.
It was the birth and coronation place of the first Hungarian king, St. Stephen, as well as the capital of Hungary until the 13th century. The Basilica of Esztergom, a masterpiece of Classicism, is the third largest church in Europe.

-VISEGRÁD- the "high fortress"
Visegrád was always in the centre of attention during history due to its favourable amenities and essential strategical role.
Visegrád is famous for the remains of the Early Renaissance summer palace of King Matthias Corvinus of Hungary and the medieval citadel.

-SZENTENDRE- the charming Artists' Village with beautiful museums and art galleries.

We discover:

-ESZTERGOM, where we visit the the largest church and the tallest building in Hungary. In the upstairs rooms of the BASILICA, we can admire the masterpieces of the world-famous CATHEDRAL TREASURY. Hungary's richest religious treasury, goldsmith and textile collection is significant on a worldwide scale.
Then we visit the CASTLE MUSEUM, where we can see the remains of the palaces of kings from the Árpad era, and the later archbishops.

-VISEGRÁD, where we explore the MEDIEVAL FORTRESS and enjoy the great panorama of the Danube Bend.

-We have a pleasent walk in the charming Artists' village of SZENTENDRE discovering some really interesting places such as the Micro Wonder Museum, a grand collection of miniature art so tiny you can only see it through the lens of a microscope!
